Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Valid Arkansas Educator License in Speech-Language Pathology K-12

·         Valid Arkansas Board of Examiners, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) License

·         Valid American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate

·         Current National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services and Building Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: SLP contract is 190 days. Salary is commensurate with years of experience and is available at the Gosnell School District website on the Certified Salary Schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         SLP will provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students with disabilities who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency. 

·         SLP will implement an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for assigned students with disabilities.

·         SLP will maintain special education due process folders.

·         SLP will maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Special Education Automation Software (SEAS) Attain.

·         SLP will maintain all necessary documentation needed for Medicaid billing and submit all billing accurately and in a timely manner.
